We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Operations Manager. This position reports to Director of Operations and will work in Vancouver, BC.

About the position

Dometic Marine’s headquarters are in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. The facility develops and manufactures hydraulic, electronic, and combustion-based products.

As Operations Manager of the Vancouver team, you will be overseeing the tactical activities of assembly production within the facility. Responsible for leading and coordinating the delivery of quality products on time, at the lowest cost, while maintaining a safe and positive work environment. Promote continuous improvement while meeting established annual improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and direct and indirect costs. Provide strong leadership through appropriate and timely feedback, coaching and mentoring all levels of production employees.

Your main responsibilities

• Ensure production is done safely, efficiently, and timely, while producing quality parts.
• Use part and product demand information from materials and customer orders to review capacity and staffing levels; determine and implement solutions and schedules to produce required parts on time and at a low cost.
• Identify areas for continuous improvement, including labour, process cycle times, utilization, scrap and maintenance costs.
• Support new product development.
• Oversee production supervisors; coach, guide, and mentor direct reports to achieve higher performance of assigned duties and responsibilities.
