The Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Operations Manager to lead and oversee environmental service lines, including stack and stationary engine testing, ambient air monitoring, LDAR, and OGI projects at industrial and energy-sector facilities. This role combines strategic oversight with operational management, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient project delivery while supporting cross-training, professional development, and client relationships. This position offers a clear opportunity for leadership development and a defined career path for long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily office operations, workflows, and field staff. 
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and safety/quality standards. 
  • Manage project budgets, expenses, schedules, and resource allocation. 
  • Implement and improve office and project procedures for efficiency. 
  • Support HR functions, mentoring, and staff development. 
  • Lead or support field programs and ensure accurate data collection and reporting. 
  • Serve as primary contact for clients, regulators, and internal teams. 
  • Review and approve project deliverables, reports, and regulatory submissions. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Minimum 5-7+ years of air testing experience (source testing, ambient, LDAR, OGI). 
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in industrial or consulting settings. 
  • Proficient using air emissions testing equipment (CEMS, wet methods, IR cameras, etc.). 
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, safety protocols, and QA procedures. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and regulatory engagement. 
  • Willingness to travel overnight and work outdoors, including at elevated heights. 
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
