Leidos QTC Health Services is seeking an Operations Manager for our Occupational Health Division. The Operations Manager will manage the day-to-day and long-term operational aspects of federal contract(s) that provide occupational health medical services. This position requires coordination across various internal departments and external stakeholders to achieve operational excellence. The Operations Manager is expected to work with a high degree of autonomy and with minimal supervision. As a self-starter, the Operations Manager must proactively identify challenges and problem-solve, presenting well thought out solutions and actionable options. This position is accountable for driving productivity, maintaining quality standards, meeting contract requirements, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Operations Supervisors and Medical Case Administrators responsible for scheduling medical exams and reviewing medical reports for quality and completeness prior to submission to the customer.
  • Responsible for meeting performance goals related to timeliness, quality, and customer service
  • Identify and maintain appropriate staffing levels
  • Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, developing annual goals, providing performance assessments, delegating work assignments, coaching, mentoring, and delivering recognition/discipline
  • Process cases from start to finish during surges, unplanned staff outages, and as needed to ensure contractual requirements are met.
  • Manage processes and procedures to ensure timely and quality completion of work according to contractual obligations
  • Responsible for the daily operational workflow, to include communication with external and internal customers, resolution of customer issues, and identify workflow concerns for specific cases and employees
  • Ensure the use of best practice workflows and operational excellence in activities are utilized and seeks methods of automating recurring processes
  • Direct the training of team members on workflow changes, process changes, and contractual modifications expeditiously
  • Create and refine operational processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity across the team and functional areas.
  • Prepare professional and complex management plans, standard operating procedures, reports, charts, tables, graphs, and diagrams
  • Identify operational level risks, issues, and mitigations.
  • Assist in providing timely training to LQTC provider network (medical professionals)
  • Responsible for monitoring and managing operational expenses (OPEX)
  • Executes all documentation, communications, and job tasks, whether manual or automated, with strict adherence to all applicable PHI and PII laws, regulations, and LQTC policies
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

      Required Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferably in a healthcare related field or equivalent experience/combined education
      • 7 years of managed care/medical case management leadership experience is preferred
      • Project management and medical case management life cycle experience is preferred
      • Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively
      • Sound knowledge and understanding of medical terminology 
      • Strong working knowledge of case management programs
      • Possess excellent organizational and follow-up skills, with a strong attention to detail
      • Possess and demonstrate skills necessary to analyze information, problems, procedures, and situations

      Preferred:

      • 10 years of managed care/medical case management experience
      • Project management and medical case management life cycle experience
      • Strong MS Excel skills and data analytics

      Additional Information:

      • Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm (PST) - Must work pacific standard time.

      This role may fall under the Service Contract Act (SCA), a federal law which provides for a U.S. Department of Labor-prescribed minimum prevailing rate of pay and certain benefit levels.
