Operations Manager

Position Summary

The Operations Manager oversees the hotel's comprehensive operations of the various departments. This role requires a self-directed, proactive approach to management, ensuring that all aspects of the hotel run smoothly and efficiently. Emphasis is placed on delivering outstanding guest service, fostering employee engagement, and achieving strong bottom-line results. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to maintaining high standards of hospitality and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including, but not limited to, those
    contained in the employee handbook. Maintain all hotel and brand standards by direct supervision of the various hotel departments.
  • Varied work hours required, including weekends and holidays
  • Train, mentor, motivate, and empower employees to improve morale and performance.
  • Assist the General Manager in resolving guest complaints
  • Provide regular performance feedback to employees through both formal appraisals and informal methods. 
  • Address employee performance or conduct issues in a fair, consistent, and professional manner.
  • Develop strategies to improve the business and team performance
  • Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including but not limited to those
    contained in the handbook
  • Assist the General Manager with any project assigned
  • Meet with all department heads/managers to ensure departments run smoothly and efficiently


Essential Skills and Experience

  • Marriott experience required
  • Previous hotel supervisory experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respond promptly.
  • Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle any emergency.
