JOB SUMMARY
The Operations Manager plays a critical role in overseeing daily branch operations, installation execution, inventory management, and warehouse performance. This position works closely with installers, warehouse associates, sales teams, and leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. Success in this role means maintaining a qualified installer network, ensuring inventory accuracy, supporting operational efficiency, and delivering a high level of service to both internal and external customers. This role requires strong leadership, organization, communication skills, and knowledge of flooring operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily branch operations to ensure projects, deliveries, installations, and warehouse activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain and manage an installer network capable of supporting current and future workload demands.
- Coordinate and assign daily installation schedules while ensuring labor resources are allocated effectively.
- Monitor installation quality and ensure all work is completed in accordance with company and industry standards.
- Partner with branch leadership to maintain appropriate inventory levels and support operational planning.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee inventory control processes.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, material movement, and job staging activities.
- Supervise warehouse associates, provide coaching and training, and address performance or process improvement opportunities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Communicate project, installation, inventory, or customer issues to the appropriate internal stakeholders and support resolution efforts.
- Review operational reports and maintain accurate records related to inventory, shipping, receiving, and installation activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Assist Regional Vice Presidents and branch leadership with operational initiatives and special projects as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedure

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises warehouse associates and provides oversight of installer activities and operational workflows. Responsible for training, coaching, work assignment, performance monitoring, and supporting a safe and productive work environment.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Minimum of 1 year of flooring industry experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of leadership, supervisory, or management experience.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain accuracy while working under deadlines.
- Ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting and moving materials up to 50 pounds.
- Basic knowledge of flooring installation materials, tools, and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Experience managing warehouse, logistics, inventory, or field operations.
- Experience supervising installers, subcontractors, or warehouse teams.
- Experience with inventory management systems or operational software.
- Experience supporting branch-level operations within the flooring, construction, or building materials industry.

Driving: Ability to operate a vehicle and travel between branch locations, warehouses, customer sites, and job sites as needed.
