POSITION SUMMARY
Open golf shop for daily operation. Check golfer receipts and start play. Maintain lines of communication with golf shop to ensure efficiency of course operations. Maintain flow of traffic on golf course. Assist golfers with carts and equipment. Check-in golfers who arrive for lessons. Answer golfer questions about course. Distribute score cards and pencils. Wash and detail ranger cart. Provide specific/specialized training to golfers with special needs. Provide emergency first aid/CPR as necessary. Setup practice stations. Coordinate with Landscaping/Grounds regarding any course or grounds maintenance needs. Maintain cleanliness of golf course and golf-related areas. Order and stock supplies for guests. Communicate with golf staff regarding changes, services, etc. Schedule tee times for golfers. Total tee sheet and ensure accuracy of daily totals. Observe and monitor practice facility to ensure cooperative/safe play. Escort non-registered individuals off course. Clean, detail, restock golf carts. Track all pertinent information relating to each tournament group. Secure golf shop at the close of business.
Follow all company policies and procedures; complete safety training and certifications; and protect company assets. Welcome/acknowledge guests according to company standards, address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Assist management in scheduling employees and serve as a departmental role model. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Grasp, turn, manipulate, move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems. Reach overhead and below the knees. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
License or Certification: None
