About the Job

Are you an accounting or manufacturing systems professional who thrives in detail-driven, process-focused environments? This is an opportunity to play a critical role in the financial and operational backbone of a growing emulsions business.

Reporting directly to the Divisional Controller – Walker Emulsions, you will support the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of plant manufacturing data across multiple sites. You’ll work hands-on with the division’s ERP manufacturing system, ensuring pricing, costs, sales data, materials, and inventory are accurate and aligned with operational reality.

 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the go-to expert for manufacturing data, collaborating closely with operations, procurement, and finance, and applying sound judgment to prioritize work in a fast-moving industrial environment.

Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000, based on experience and qualifications.

 

What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Supporting transactional accuracy across Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, and Work Orders within the ERP system
  • Support maintaining and updating Bills of Materials, in collaboration with management
  • Organizing, overseeing, and reconciling inventory counts
  • Support setting up and maintaining new inventory items in the ERP
  • Acting as the manufacturing system champion, supporting and training users across three operational sites
  • Support creating and maintaining customer and vendor profiles
  • Partnering with Procurement to understand cost changes and downstream impacts
  • Supporting the integrity of the standard costing system, including variance review and communication
  • Assisting with sales invoicing, confirming pricing and transactional accuracy
  • Monitoring raw material pricing trends and assisting with analysis
  • Support reviewing and processing accounts payable invoices
  • Supporting monthly General Ledger reconciliations
  • Participating in operational and financial meetings to stay connected to the business and provide meaningful financial insight

 

Here’s What You Need

  • A minimum two-year post-secondary diploma in Accounting or Business Administration (degree is an asset), or equivalent experience

  • 2–3 years of accounting or business experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment

  • A valid G Driver’s License with a clean abstract

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity

  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial and operational data

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and guidelines

  • The ability to explain technical or financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues

  • Highly organized, methodical, and comfortable working with structured processes

  • Strong computer and ERP skills, with the ability to generate reports and track data effectively

  • Comfortable working independently, using sound judgment and discretion

  • Clear and confident verbal communication skills, both one-on-one and in group settings

  • Strong written communication skills, including editing and proofreading
