Role Summary: Reporting to the Customs Supervisor, the customs Coordinator is responsible to obtain clearances for cross border freight within the timescales provided by drivers, while ensuring Challenger is compliant with Government regulations established by U.S. and Canada Customs.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 11:00pm – 7:30am

Compensation: Salary Range: $43,000 to $51,000 Shift Premiums: $1,500
Work Location & Environment: 300 Maple Grove Rd, Cambridge, ON N3E 1B7 Office environment
Key Accountabilities: In this role, you will:
Electronically submit ACE & ACI shipments directly to Canada and US Customs for both Challenger, Elgin and TLS drivers
Integrate information received via ISAAC satellite message into ACE/ACI systems and submit to Customs
Interact with internal departments, customers, custom brokers, CBSA & CBP custom officials to resolve service issues when needed.
Review the details of the shipment and ensure all information is entered accurately
Prepare and forward paperwork to Customs brokers and drivers to obtain pre-clearances via email
Review incoming driver documents for quality and missing documentation and verify recipient broker address
Monitor shipments clearance by brokers to ensure clearance is done in a timely manner
Answer inquiries from drivers by satellite, telephone, and in-person regarding customs clearances
Submit FAST shipments for Ford and Stellantis using the importers FAST portal and communicate with drivers on clearance.
Troubleshoot and problem solve any Customs issues that arise
Access web-based portals to view shipments and edit data when needed
Assist drivers in completing ACE and ACI lead sheets, A8A’s, Bonds and other customs forms.
Receive/Scan and index Customs paperwork into the company’s indexing system, Synergize
Send proof of releases/clearances to brokers as requested.
Other Duties
Performs other duties and general housekeeping as required or requested
Qualifications We’re looking for someone who brings: Education & Experience:
Secondary School diploma
1 year of office administration experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
ACE/ACI knowledge is beneficial
Understanding of cross border freight processes
