Zenith Connected Energy 
Location: Rivervale, WA | Full-Time Leadership Role

Are you an experienced operations leader with a passion for renewable energy, power generation and critical infrastructure? Zenith Energy is seeking a Network Operations Manager to lead the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our growing portfolio of connected energy and microgrid assets.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in Australia's energy transition, managing distributed energy networks, renewable generation, battery storage systems and customer connections while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive – Connected Energy, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, performance, and reliability of Zenith's connected energy network assets. You will lead operational activities, manage service providers and contractors, oversee network performance, and ensure compliance with safety, technical, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the safe and efficient operation of connected energy network assets and associated infrastructure.
  • Manage network monitoring, performance optimisation and operational reliability.
  • Oversee maintenance programs and manage external O&M providers and contractors.
  • Coordinate new customer connections, commissioning activities and network upgrades.
  • Drive emergency preparedness, resilience planning and incident response.
  • Implement and maintain cyber security measures across network systems.
  • Collaborate with development, commercial and asset management teams on generation, storage and network expansion projects.
  • Manage operational budgets, forecasting, cost control and reporting.
  • Ensure billing and metering obligations are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and develop team capability.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture aligned with Zenith's SPARK values.

About You

You are a proactive leader with strong technical and commercial acumen and a proven track record managing complex energy or utility operations.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Leadership experience in operations, asset management or a similar senior role.
  • Demonstrated experience in power generation, including gas, diesel and renewable technologies.
  • Experience managing remote and/or FIFO operations.
  • Strong understanding of HSE requirements in heavy industry environments.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control expertise.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to analyse operational and financial performance and implement practical solutions.

Qualifications

  • Electrical or Mechanical Trade qualification, or Engineering Degree.
  • National Police Clearance and ability to obtain medical clearance.

Highly Regarded

  • Project management experience.
  • Contract negotiation and estimating experience.
  • Postgraduate qualifications (MBA or similar).
  • Electrical Nominee accreditation.
