What you can expect to do here

  • Oversee and inspect construction work to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with contract requirements
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting progress, resources, milestones, and quality
  • Measure and calculate quantities of work performed to support contractor payments
  • Support quality assurance and material sampling
  • Mentor and guide junior inspectors and students
  • Liaise with contractors, clients, utility companies, and stakeholders
  • Tackle diverse and complex projects—every day brings new challenges!

 

What you’ll bring to WSP

  • At least 3 years of municipal inspection experience
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (C.Tech. or CET) or a university degree in Civil Engineering
  • Asset: OACETT certification, Road Construction Senior Inspector (RCSI) designation or registration with PEO as an Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in interpreting contract documents, specifications, standards, and technical drawings
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license
