The Marketing Operations Manager is a strategic and systems-driven leader responsible for building and optimizing the operational infrastructure that powers Emerald Queen Casino’s marketing function. This role designs scalable workflows, governs marketing systems, and ensures regulatory alignment across all marketing processes. Serving as the operational authority for the department, this leader drives efficiency, improves speed to market, enhances cross-functional coordination, and strengthens reporting visibility. The position oversees the marketing technology ecosystem, budget stewardship, and workflow governance while enabling seamless campaign execution and long-term operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Strategy & Process Governance

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable marketing operating systems that standardize intake, approvals, execution, documentation, and reporting workflows to improve efficiency and speed to market.
  • Establish and enforce SOP governance, workflow accountability, and documentation standards across the department to ensure consistency and operational discipline.
  • Ensure full alignment with Tribal Gaming Agency requirements, compliance standards, and internal audit expectations, partnering cross-functionally with Compliance, Finance, HR, IT, and Security to maintain regulatory integrity.

Marketing Technology Leadership

  • Own and evolve the marketing technology ecosystem, including CRM, campaign deployment platforms, workflow management systems, analytics tools, and automation solutions.
  • Lead system integrations, enhancements, automation initiatives, and AI-enabled efficiencies that improve campaign execution, reporting accuracy, and resource planning.
  • Govern system access, data integrity, platform performance, and security in partnership with IT, serving as the department’s subject matter expert for marketing systems strategy.

Budget & Vendor Management

  • Oversee marketing administration and technology budgets, ensuring strategic allocation of resources and fiscal accountability.
  • Evaluate and manage vendor contracts, licensing agreements, and technology investments to maximize cost effectiveness and operational impact.
  • Forecast operational and technology expenses, provide budget reporting to leadership, and ensure adherence to procurement policies and enterprise financial guidelines.

Performance Measurement & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain KPI frameworks, dashboards, and reporting systems that measure workflow efficiency, system utilization, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Translate operational data into actionable insights that inform leadership decision-making and resource planning.
  • Lead post-campaign and post-event operational reviews, recommending structural, technological, or procedural improvements based on performance findings.

Team Leadership & Adoption

  • Train and mentor marketing staff on systems, workflow tools, compliance protocols, and documentation standards to strengthen operational capability.
  • Lead change management initiatives for new technologies and process enhancements to ensure sustained adoption and accountability.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for operational troubleshooting and process governance while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and discipline.

The ideal candidate is a systems-oriented marketing leader with strong analytical, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills. They demonstrate expertise in process architecture, workflow standardization, and marketing technology governance. This individual is proficient in enterprise CRM platforms, project and resource management tools, and performance reporting systems.

They possess strong financial acumen, including budget oversight and vendor evaluation, and demonstrate the ability to translate operational complexity into structured, documented frameworks that support scalability and compliance. The successful candidate exercises sound judgment, maintains regulatory awareness, and operates with a high level of accountability and operational precision.

They are adaptable, proactive, and solutions-focused, capable of leading change initiatives while fostering collaboration across departments in a tribal casino environment. A commitment to continuous improvement, enterprise alignment, and organizational effectiveness is essential.

Minimum Qualifications:

REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of experience in marketing operations, marketing technology management, or related operational and supervisory leadership role.
• Experience managing marketing systems, workflow platforms, and operational budgets.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Class III A Gaming License from the Puyallup Tribe of Indians Tribal Gaming Agency.

PREFERRED:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
• Budget management experience
• Gaming experience
• Experience working with tribal entities

Additional education or experience may substitute for minimum requirements.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods in an office or casino environment, with frequent walking, reaching, bending, and light lifting up to 40lbs. The position may involve work in loud or smoke-filled environments.

Additional Requirements:

  • Our facilities operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This position may require evening, weekend, and holiday availability as business needs dictate.
