About the Role

We are seeking a commercially driven Managing Director to establish and lead our client’s U.S. operations. As the first U.S. hire, you will own all U.S. procurement and operational strategy, acting as the senior authority on sourcing, supplier relationships, and trading performance within the U.S. market.

This role is ideal for a senior procurement or ITAD trading leader who wants to build a best-in-class sourcing function, shape supplier strategy, and directly influence global inventory flow and margins.

What You’ll Own

  • Full ownership of U.S. procurement strategy across OEMs, ODMs, distributors, and brokers

  • Authority over supplier selection, commercial frameworks, and buying strategy

  • End-to-end P&L responsibility tied directly to procurement performance

  • A key role in shaping global sourcing and trading strategy

What You’ll Do

  • Build and scale U.S. procurement and trading operations from the ground up

  • Lead high-value negotiations on pricing, MOQs, lead times, rebates, and supply agreements

  • Secure OEM surplus, factory-direct, and secondary-market inventory

  • Oversee North American ITAD operations to support value recovery and resale

  • Develop long-term supplier partnerships that drive inventory velocity and margin

What You Bring

  • 10+ years in IT hardware procurement, ITAD trading, or OEM/ODM sourcing

  • Deep understanding of data center hardware supply chains

  • Strong supplier and broker relationships in the U.S. and globally

  • Proven success leading procurement-led P&L operations
