What’s the role?

This role is responsible for leading the team supporting the day-to-day client service operations which includes leading process optimization and reengineering. The Head of Central Operations and Technology Support will manage a team of around 5-10 individuals and report directly to the Head of CS Northeast.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of client service professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members on complex fund admin matters.
  • Build team engagement and morale through effective communication, recognition, and support.
  • Coordinating technology requests with the development team and the integration of new technology builds into the client service operation.
  • Providing process oversight of files with all 3rd parties and clients, data transformation and straight through processing to downstream systems and coordination of systems integration. Processes will include but are not limited to reconciliation, activity booking and investor activity processing.
  • Will include heavy client interaction daily including frequent communication with clients at the executive level.
  • Maintain a working relationship with all client contacts, auditors, lawyers, and banking personnel.
  • Drive operational efficiency through set up and adoption of best practices.
  • Contribute to the implementation and optimization of fund administration systems and technology platforms.
  • Identify opportunities for automation / standardization to enhance service quality and efficiency.
  • Share learnings and best practices across the wider Gen II organization.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives that support Gen II's growth and development.

 

The ideal background for this role:

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • 15 plus of related work experience.
  • Very comfortable in understanding and navigating through Partnership Agreements, legal documents, and Investment Agreements.
  • Advanced knowledge of types of Reporting for Investment Funds / Investment Companies and Investors in USGAAP.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical Knowledge and Business Acumen.
  • Extensive Microsoft suite skills - Excel (pivots), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Work Arrangement:

All applicants applying to Gen II Fund Services, LLC must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Please note that all US employees are required to work a hybrid schedule, comprised of three (3) days a week in our New York office and two (2) days remotely.

 

The salary range for this position is $250K-275K in addition to a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package. Please note that the actual salary offered within that range will depend on the candidate’s experience level.
