You manage technical and scientific professionals responsible for initiation and execution of programs. This is a leadership role in cross-functional teams and regularly interacts with RDQ and cross-functional senior management.
How you will contribute
You will lead regional and sub-regional teams to deliver on the quality strategy, providing sufficient resources and expertise to appropriate functions and locations. You will manage, lead, coach and develop a team of quality experts to execute regional and global quality programs, ensuring compliance with Mondelēz policies and procedures and adherence to external regional and local food safety/regulatory requirements in internal and external manufacturing locations and facilities. In this role, you will develop and report quality KPIs, applying your understanding of the impact regional KPIs have on the global business. In addition, you will facilitate communities of practice on quality related topics; represent the quality function at R&D meetings to ensure that sufficient resources and expertise are allocated to significant projects, and to ensure there are sufficient resources available so products meet design, food safety and quality policy requirements; identify quality enhancements and improvements across R&D and the supply chain; partner with technical groups such as food safety/micro and sanitation to ensure program compliance and enhancement, and; help manage special situations and early warnings with respect to plant investigations, root-cause analysis and follow-up for the SSMT, protecting Mondelēz’s interests and reputation.

Education / Requirements
B.S. degree in Food Science, Engineering, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related Sciences.
Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance, food safety, supplier quality, or similar.
Experience working in and assessing food manufacturing sites.
Fundamental understanding of Sanitation, Hygienic Design, Pest Control, Quality, HACCP, and Food Safety principles.
Highly proficient computer (MS Office) skills.
Core Responsibilities:
Site Assessment:
Conduct comprehensive quality assessments of new suppliers, external manufacturing sites, and repacker sites with heavy focus on HACCP, Sanitation, Extraneous Matter, Pathogen Environmental Monitoring, Pest Management, and CAPA.
Evaluate site quality management systems, manufacturing processes, and record management in comparison to Mondelez Quality Standards.
Identify potential risks and develop possible mitigation plans.
Onboarding Process Management:
Develop and implement onboarding plans tailored to the specific needs of each site to pass a Mondelez Corporate Audit.
Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new sites, ensuring adherence to established timelines and requirements.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Procurement, R&D, Manufacturing, Food Safety, Quality) to ensure alignment and collaboration, particularly when roadblocks arise.
Ensure readiness for Mondelez corporate audit.
Training and Support:
Provide training and support to new sites on the Mondelez Quality Requirements and details for implementing programs for compliance.
Serve as a site’s primary point of contact for quality-related inquiries.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless qualification and integration of new sites.
Communicate effectively with sites and internal stakeholders on quality-related matters.
Participate in regular meetings and provide updates on the status of onboarding activities.
Occasionally may need to collaborate with 3rd party contractors during the qualification process.
Travel requirements:
Approximately 30% - 50% for on site assessments within Canada, US and Mexico .
