General Accountability

The Manager of Supply Chain & Logistics is responsible for managing day-to-day logistics, procurement, inventory operational activities to support business objectives and customer requirements. This role oversees the flow of material from supplier sourcing and purchasing through manufacturing and final customer delivery.

The manager will work cross-functionally to improve logistics processes, support international shipments, and implement robust inventory controls. This role requires a proactive thinker to ensure that the manufacturing team has the right materials at the right time to meet revenue demands.

  • Compliance: Maintain compliance with applicable import/export regulations and company policies. Work with custom brokers and logistics providers to support complex customs classifications (HS Codes), valuations, and country-of-origin documentation to minimize shipment delays.
  • Freight Management: Manage relationships with freight forwarders, careers, and custom brokers. Monitor transportation performance, support vendor negotiations and identity opportunities to improve service levels, transit times, and freight costs.

Supply Chain Planning & Procurement

  • Supply Planning: Manage the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. Translate sales forecasts into actionable build plans and procurement schedules.
  • Supplier Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and support sourcing activities, contract administration, and performance monitoring. Drive cost reduction initiatives and manage supplier risk/performance.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor adherence to the company’s inventory targets. Implement strategies (Kanban, Safety Stock, Min/Max) to maximize cash flow while preventing stockouts.

Operational Excellence & Install Base

  • ERP/Systems: Maintain and support the ERP system’s supply chain modules (Purchasing, Inventory (in-house/field), Order Management). Drive data integrity.
  • Install Base Support: Oversee the logistics of spare parts and service loops for the installed base of devices in the field.
  • Cost Control: Monitor the departmental budget and drive reductions in purchasing decisions, overhead (build vs outsource), freight, return goods, scrap rate, and material variance.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or Supply Chain. An MBA in Supply Chain is a strong asset.

Key Attributes
