Position Summary 

Reporting to the Shop and Technical Equipment Director, the Manager, Procurement, Rental & Technical Inventory will play a strategic and operational role at the core of our global event productions. You will be responsible for purchasing equipment, managing rentals, and overseeing inventory for the equipment department, as well as providing procurement services to the production team for various events.

Because our events take place internationally, you must demonstrate strong responsiveness and agility to identify local and international suppliers when required, handle emergencies, negotiate the best terms, and guarantee equipment availability regardless of the destination.

Main Responsibilities 

1. Procurement & Technical Equipment Rentals

• Take charge of purchasing equipment required for the shop and ongoing equipment department operations.

• Handle rentals required for event execution. Negotiate agreements based on annual rental costs with our vendor network.

• Contribute to specific procurement requests for event production projects, strictly adhering to budgets and timelines.

• Research, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers based on event locations and equipment needs.

• Build and maintain our international supplier network.

• Show exceptional agility in finding express sourcing solutions during unexpected events or last-minute ground emergencies.

• Secure optimal pricing, delivery times, and payment terms from vendors.

2. Inventory Management & Equipment Planning

• Actively contribute to anticipating and planning short-, medium-, and long-term equipment needs in collaboration with the shop team.

• Ensure rigorous maintenance and updates of the equipment inventory management system.

• Participate in physical inventory counts, stock rationalization, and the replacement process for obsolete or damaged gear.

3. Logistics & Administrative Tracking

• Monitor orders to ensure timely delivery of equipment.

• Validate purchase orders, invoices, and customs documentation.

Requirements & Technical Skills 

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent).

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience as a Buyer or Procurement Specialist, ideally in international event production.

• Language Requirement: Fluency in French and English (oral and written). English proficiency is required for international vendor sourcing, commercial negotiations abroad, and logistical follow-ups with partners outside Quebec. Any additional language is an asset.

• International Sourcing: Proven ability to source and negotiate with suppliers worldwide (managing time zone differences, customs, etc.).

• Management Systems: Proficiency in inventory management software / ERP (e.g., Flex Rental Solutions, RentalWorks, Odoo, advanced Excel).
