What You Will Do
The Manager of Operations provides leadership for the central, department-wide functions that ensure organizational success and compliance of the Kimmel Belonging and Engagement Hub. This position oversees the office’s key operational areas, including student employment, assessment, marketing, and administrative supervision, to strengthen effectiveness, communication, and impact across the department. The Manager of Operations aligns people, processes, and systems to advance the department’s mission of student belonging and engagement, while fostering a culture of learning, accountability, and excellence. The position supervises two office support specialists and a team of student employees.Oversee the department’s student employment program, including recruitment, training, and assessment of learning outcomes; ensuring alignment between student roles and office needs; and direct supervision for a team of students.
Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive departmental assessment plan incorporating both quantitative and qualitative data. Collaborate with staff to collect, synthesize, and interpret data that demonstrates impact, informs decision-making, and contributes to reporting mechanisms.
Manage the department’s digital presence and communication strategy, including creative direction for social media, website content, newsletters, and more.
Supervise office support staff responsible for department resources, budget processes, procurement, and operational compliance, ensuring that departmental procedures align with University policies and priorities.
Serve as a cross-functional connector within the department, aligning student employee efforts, staff initiatives, and administrative processes to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and impact.
Implement office-wide systems and structures that support organization and operational effectiveness, continuous improvement, and data-informed operations across the department.
FLSA: Non-Exempt
- 1+ years of relevant professional experience in higher education, student affairs, operations, assessment, and/or marketing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Organizational Leadership, or related field.
- Experience supervising student employees or support staff.
- Experience with website management, social media strategy, and/or marketing design tools.
- Demonstrated experience using data to guide planning or decision-making.
