Job Profile Title
Manager, Flex Coverage

Job Summary
The Manager, Flex Coverage oversees the daily operations of a medical practice, ensuring efficient patient care delivery and compliance with industry standards. They collaborate with physicians, administrative staff, and other departments to maintain high-quality services.

Reports to: Director, Clinic Operations

Job Specific Responsibilities
Daily assignments may include but are not limited to:
• Administrative Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination.
• Financial Management: Assist in budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting. Monitor expenses and revenue.
• Staff Supervision: Hire, train, and supervise all staff. Ensure optimal performance.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, privacy laws, and quality standards.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and coordinate equipment maintenance.
• Patient Experience: Collaborate with medical personnel to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
• Other assigned duties may be given at the discretion of the Director.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field. Preferred.
• Prior experience in medical practice management preferred.

Skills and Abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, electronic health records systems).
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance.

Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
The person in this role will have daily interactions with physicians, nursing staff, and administrative staff. Collaborate with billing, IT, and human resources departments.

Physical Capabilities
Position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, talking on a phone, and working on a computer. Essential hearing and near vision acuity required. Should be able to lift up to 20 pounds, push, pull, and stooping required at times.

Environmental/Working Conditions
Works in a well-lit, heated, and ventilated building. Hours may vary to accommodate needs in the department. Exposure to blood borne pathogens is of high risk.
