The Role: Manager, Compliance and Privacy Operations - Mobility

This position reports directly to the Head of Privacy, Data & AI who reports to the Chief Risk, Compliance and Privacy Officer of Mobility.   

Responsibilities and Impact: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Privacy Operations & Compliance Manager responsible for operationalizing and managing core privacy processes, including data subject requests, privacy assessments, registrations, data mapping, records of processing activities, privacy mailbox administration and regulatory response coordination.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise and proven experience in privacy compliance and have strong risk judgment and the ability to deliver practical, actionable programs that protect the company while enabling responsible business growth.

Responsibilities:

Data Subject Requests & Individual Rights Operations

  • Lead operational management of data subject requests, such as rights to access, deletion, correction, portability, and restriction.
  • Develop scalable workflows and automation to improve response times and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate and prepare the production of documents and redactions in connection with Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR).
  • Track metrics and reporting related to rights requests and response timelines.

Assessments

  • Oversee operational execution of privacy assessments (e.g., Data Protection Impact Assessments, Legitimate Interests Assessments, Transfer Impact Assessments).
  • Ensure timely review and documentation of privacy risks in new or existing processes, products and technologies.
  • Support implementation of risk mitigation strategies and monitor remediation actions.

Data Mapping & Record Keeping

  • Maintain and operationalize Record of Processing Activities and data inventories.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to maintain accurate data flow diagrams, system inventories, and processing records.
  • Support internal audits and regulatory inspections with up-to-date documentation.

Privacy Registrations, Policies & Operations

  • Complete, organize, and maintain global privacy registrations and regulatory filings, ensuring all submissions are accurate, timely, and compliant.
  • Assist in reviewing, updating and administering privacy policies to ensure they accurately reflect current processing activities, regulatory requirements, and internal practices.
  • Coordinate and support operational implementation of compliance requirements.
  • Manage and maintain privacy resources on the company intranet site.
  • Respond to privacy queries and manage the privacy mailbox.

Compliance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Execute monitoring activities to ensure adherence to privacy policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Generate privacy program reports and metrics.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Training

  • Work closely with stakeholders across the enterprise to embed privacy compliance into business processes.
  •  Support awareness and training initiatives to ensure employees understand privacy obligations and operational requirements.
  • Support privacy projects and initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, or compliance operations within a regulated or multinational environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Information Security, Business, IT or other discipline.
  • Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience with OneTrust and automation tools.
  • Strong operational knowledge of data subject request processes, privacy assessments and data mapping.
  • Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA as amended by the CPRA, and other global privacy frameworks.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communications skills.
  • Proven capability to manage high-volume, complex environments with sound judgment and adaptability. Fosters inclusivity and manage emotions to achieve optimal business outcomes. Able to effectively pivot direction and collaborate across teams to meet strategic initiatives.
  • Exceptional business judgment and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated passion for the business.
  • Operates autonomously while also being a collaborative team player who brings a positive, “can do” attitude to the workplace. Works effectively with other members of the Compliance, Risk and Privacy team, internal clients, and cross-functional organizations to influence and develop strategic initiatives.
