Job Description

Are you ready to play a key role in ensuring the smooth and flawless operation of our logistics and inventory management? As a Logistics Specialist I at LGC, you will be an essential part of our ambitious team, supporting the distribution and handling of instrument parts. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential functions satisfactorily:

  • Coordinate the material handling, packaging, and routing of parts shipments to the shipping team, including any paperwork needed to identify the shipment and its contents.
  • Accurately stock parts and keep inventory tidy and accurate.
  • Delivery of parts to other departments as needed.
  • Learn to build new part setups within the ERP.
  • Achieve accurate inventory tracking in the ERP system through daily cycle counting.
  • Perform receiving of parts, including material handling, receiving paperwork, ISO requirements, and returns.
  • Ensure production supplies and inventory are accurately labeled and stored.
  • Support distribution activities as needed.
  • Adhere to company Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Previous experience in managing materials and preparing finished goods for dispatch.
  • Strong dedication to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Experience working with information technology, including database software.
  • Willingness to operate a forklift and warehouse machinery.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in material handling and preparing finished products for shipment, within a manufacturing or biotech environment.
  • Forklift experience.

Additional Information

Pay range for this position is:

Minimum pay rate: $45,000 USD

Maximum pay rate: $47,000 USD

The salary range provided covers the minimum and maximum amounts projected for this role. The base salary will be influenced by factors like experience, skills, and location. This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus program.
