ROLE SUMMARY: We are seeking a motivated Logistics & Warehouse professional to support daily operations, ensure safe work practices, and help drive continuous improvement across our facility. This role is hands on and people focused, involving coordination of warehouse activities, coaching team members, and ensuring efficient material flow to meet production and service targets.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Support and enforce health and safety programs, ensuring adherence to critical safety and quality requirements within the warehouse and across the Turning Point facility.
Participate in task forces focused on improving quality, safety, efficiency, and related operational areas.
Foster a positive team environment by supporting engagement, addressing performance concerns, and promoting open communication.
Train, coach, and support workforce development; delegate workload effectively to staff.
Support the implementation of continuous improvement practices within the department by reinforcing daily safety routines, applying structured problem‑solving tools such as 5Why, and developing team capabilities through ongoing skills training and coaching.
Support the development and maintenance of standard work, visual management tools, and daily management routines.
Identify operational improvement opportunities and propose solutions using management system tools and methodologies to achieve or exceed KPIs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Maintenance, Brewing, Planning and external partners) to ensure alignment on schedules, material flow and service level.
Monitor the execution of receiving, picking, and shipping processes to ensure compliance with defined standards and performance targets.
Ensure all shipments are prepared accurately and executed on time.
Process receiving documentation for all inbound shipments in SAP.
Process sample orders, repack transactions, and product hold activities in SAP.
Create MDFs and Bills of Lading (BOLs) as required.
Manage products and materials shipped to or from third‑party facilities for storage, repack, disposal, and related activities.
Monitor production plans and inventory levels, communicating material shortages to the production team as needed.
Update inventory, production, repack, sales, and KPI trackers as required.
Assist in managing finished goods and packaging inventories, including monthly reconciliations and daily SAP transactions.
Order warehouse materials and coordinate service or maintenance for forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and dock equipment.
Approve hourly employee payroll as required.
Provide coverage for additional duties during employee absences.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics Department Manager or Brewery Manager.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent (proof required); post secondary education is considered an asset.
Willingness to work rotating shifts as operational needs require.
Ability to follow all health and safety rules, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Effective communication and supervisory skills to support and guide team members; prior experience in a unionized environment is considered an asset.
Willingness to learn supply‑chain‑related computer systems; familiarity with SAP, Smartsheet and High Jump are considered an asset.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with mechanical aptitude; experience with packaging equipment and continuous improvement methodologies are considered an asset.
Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in response to changing priorities or conditions.
Consistently strong work ethic, discipline, and attendance record.
Forklift experience or certification.
