About AKIVA
AKIVA is an AI-native engineering firm specializing in enterprise services, domain-specific solutions, and high-performance infrastructure from strategy through deployment. We build innovative systems that drive measurable results for commercial enterprises and government agencies. AKIVA is a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).
Position Overview
AKIVA is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee all warehouse operations, asset management, inventory controls, shipping and receiving, Bill-of-Materials (BOM) readiness, and equipment lifecycle activities in support of a statewide enterprise network services program. The Logistics Manager ensures that all equipment required for maintenance, repairs, provisioning, outside and inside plant (OSP/ISP) work, and project delivery is available, tracked, and properly accounted for, and oversees the operation of a climate-controlled warehouse facility sized for current and anticipated inventory levels. AKIVA-provided AI-assisted demand forecasting, BOM optimization, and inventory analytics tools may be leveraged to accelerate material readiness and reduce stock-out risk.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate, serialized asset inventory for all program-managed materials including routers, switches, optics, fiber materials, racks, patch cables, and spare parts
• Manage warehouse operations — storage, packaging, tooling, staging — in a secure, climate-controlled facility sized for current and anticipated inventory levels (approximately 13,700+ cubic feet volumetric capacity)
• Track and reconcile inventory levels; maintain real-time inventory records through ServiceNow and conduct periodic audits against State requirements
• Maintain full custody records including barcoding, labeling, and asset tagging; implement standardized chain-of-custody procedures across projects
• Support NOC and dispatch teams by preparing equipment for rapid deployment; coordinate equipment delivery for engineering projects and break/fix events
• Oversee vendor RMA processes, equipment repairs, and warranty claims
• Maintain logistics SOPs, chain-of-custody policies, and asset compliance documentation
• Forecast inventory needs based on consumption rates, project plans, and failure trends; manage returns and disposition of defective or obsolete materials
• Develop detailed, accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for network-related projects and maintenance efforts based on engineering designs and requirements
• Schedule and coordinate pickups and deliveries with Contractors, distributors, client staff, and field teams; ensure adherence to timelines and special handling requirements
• Oversee material readiness and staging — verify completeness of project packages prior to field deployment to avoid delays
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related discipline (equivalent work experience of five years may be substituted for a degree)
• At least 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, procurement, or inventory control — including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of logistics operations, state procurement processes, inventory management systems, and contractor coordination
• Experience with serialized asset tracking systems
• Knowledge of networking equipment types, form factors, and handling requirements
• Experience supporting field operations and dispatch coordination
• Full-time availability as dedicated Key Personnel; must be available to support urgent equipment deployments and after-hours dispatches
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
• APICS CPIM / CSCP, CLTD (Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution), or equivalent supply-chain certification
• ServiceNow asset management / ITAM experience
• Prior experience supporting state or federal telecommunications or network infrastructure programs
• Familiarity with AI-assisted demand forecasting, BOM optimization, and inventory analytics tools
