We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator at our Orangeburg, NY facility. This role is responsible for managing and executing day-to-day shipping and logistics activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products. The Logistics Coordinator is also responsible for scheduling shipments, communicating with carriers and internal teams, tracking deliveries, resolving issues, and ensuring shipments are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What will your days look like?  These are just some of the functions you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinate and schedule shipments for domestic and international orders.
  • Book Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) shipments using appropriate systems and carriers.
  • Review and follow routing guides to ensure compliance with customer and carrier requirements.
  • Process shipments through FedEx and UPS shipping systems, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
  • Maintain and update shipping information within ERP systems.
  • Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams via phone and email to resolve shipping issues and provide status updates.
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and address any delays or discrepancies.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
  • Coordinate domestic (and/or international) shipments from origin to final delivery
  • Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers, brokers, and warehouses
  • Track shipments and proactively communicate delays or issues
  • Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documentation (BOLs, invoices, packing lists, etc.)
  • Ensure accurate shipment details (weights, dimensions, addresses )
  • Work closely with warehouse, production, and customer service teams
  • Resolve delivery issues such as delays, damages, shortages, or missed pickups
  • Monitor freight costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Inventory tracking
  • Meets attendance expectations as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Skills/ Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with LTL booking systems and carrier coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret routing guides accurately.
  • Prior experience in logistics, shipping, or supply coordination preferred.
  • Proficiency in FedEx and UPS shipping platforms.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems for order and inventory management.
  • Strong phone and email etiquette with excellent communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior knowledge of freight terms and transportation regulations preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, squat and reach with arms and/or hands to access inventory and operate equipment. Use of hands to grasp, handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to operate warehouse machinery, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, with proper training and certification. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.  The employee will spend the majority of their time in a production/warehouse environment and occasionally work outside with moderate noise level and will frequently need to lift up to 50 lbs. alone, occasionally 51-100 lbs. with assistance as a team lift.  Also, the employee will need to be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs. frequently and on occasion 50-100 lbs. Ability to grasp, lift, and carry fabrics, materials and finished product, typically up to 50 pounds. The production/warehouse environment may also have smells or odors from the manufacturing processes present. If (PPE) personal protective equipment is required, it will be provided by the company.

The national pay range for this role is $25 - $28 per hour. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to hourly pay the total compensation package also includes participation in a profit-sharing program.
