Our client operates a well-established logistics and transportation division that supports shippers across North America with customized freight solutions. Working alongside a large transportation network and long-standing carrier partnerships, the team focuses on delivering efficient, cost-effective transportation solutions for a wide range of industries.


The logistics division specializes in coordinating truckload and specialized shipments across Canada and the United States, leveraging strong carrier relationships and market knowledge to provide flexible and reliable transportation solutions. The team prides itself on being solution-focused, responsive, and highly knowledgeable of market conditions and freight lanes across North America.


To support continued growth, we are currently seeking a seasoned Logistics Coordinator to join the team in Mississauga, Ontario.


The Role

The Logistics Coordinator will play a key role in managing day-to-day brokerage operations, coordinating shipments, securing carrier capacity, and providing competitive pricing in a fast-moving freight environment. This role requires a strong understanding of the spot quote market, freight lanes, and carrier relationships across the United States.


The ideal candidate is a solutions-focused logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced brokerage environment and is comfortable managing multiple shipments while ensuring strong customer service and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage freight shipments across Canada and the United States
  • Source and secure carrier capacity through established carrier network
  • Provide competitive pricing and spot quotes for truckload shipments
  • Develop transportation solutions based on customer requirements and market conditions
  • Maintain strong relationships with carriers and internal teams
  • Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any service issues
  • Negotiate rates with carriers while maintaining profitability
  • Provide proactive communication and updates to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate shipment documentation and system updates


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or freight brokerage
  • Proven experience working within a transportation brokerage environment
  • Strong understanding of US geography and major freight lanes
  • Experience working with spot market pricing and carrier negotiations
  • Ability to build carrier relationships and secure capacity quickly
  • Strong problem-solving and solution-focused mindset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced logistics environment
