Logistics Analyst

The Logistics Analyst manages shipment execution, customer communication, and carrier coordination to ensure on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and service excellence. This role acts as a key link between customers, carriers, and internal operations.

Execution & Coordination

• Plan and coordinate shipments, scheduling pickups and deliveries
• Track shipments and proactively resolve service issues
• Monitor detention, TONU, and recurring carrier issues

Customer & Carrier Management

• Serve as point of contact for customers and carriers
• Provide shipment updates and manage service expectations
• Build and maintain strong relationships

Cost & Performance

• Negotiate carrier rates when applicable
• Monitor transportation costs and profitability
• Support freight reporting and KPI tracking

Education

• Minimum high school diploma or GED
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in applicable field
• Computer literate in Microsoft with focus in Excel, Word and AS400

Working Conditions

• Ability to sit and type at a computer station for prolonged period of time.
• Cross-dock environment with exposure to warehouse and yard operations.
• Ability to operate/use multi-line office telephone.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
• Shift: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or until; Monday through Friday

Must be able to execute all the above functions and meet all the above demands safely, posing no threat to themselves or those around them while doing so, and must willingly comply with applicable safety regulations in the completion of all work.

• 2 – 5 years of transportation/logistics experience
• Proficiency with AS400 or similar logistics/ERP systems preferred and other applicable software
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
• Strong follow-up skills.
• Attention to Detail.
• Proficiency with Technology
