The Licensed Behavioral Health (BH) Outpatient Therapist provides culturally competent, ethical, and compassionate behavioral health services to individuals, families, and couples in an outpatient setting. This role is essential in supporting patients with diverse backgrounds and mental health and substance use needs, helping them achieve emotional wellness and improved quality of life. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Education:
Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therpay or Psychology
License/Registration:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
OR
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
OR
Licensed Marital and Family Therapy
Work Experience:
One (1) to two (2) years relevant clinical experience in an outpatient setting, inclusive of 1,500 hours of supervised, post-Master’s clinical experience.
Experience working with military and veteran population.
Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Knowledge working with children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient setting with diverse populations presenting range of behavioral health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and substance use disorders.
· Highly motivated, independent, and capable of performing in a complex environment with the ability to prioritize effectively and complete tasks.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and competence to establish rapport and build supporting, trusting relationships and maintain healthy boundaries and respect for patient rights and personal preferences.
· Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
