Position Description
The Lead Demand Planner is responsible for leading and overseeing the demand planning process for their assigned accounts as well as the accounts managed by the demand planners who report into them within the Milwaukee Canada business.
In addition to demand planning responsibilities, this role focuses on ensuring overall alignment between the demand plan and key stakeholders across sales, product, and marketing teams. The Lead Demand Planner will provide support and guidance to a team of demand planners, ensuring accuracy in forecasting and driving strategic decision-making while reporting to the Demand Planning Manager.
What You Will Do
Lead the assigned team of planners, providing mentorship, training, and support
Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, sales trends, market intelligence, and input from cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to incorporate new product launches, promotional activities, and market conditions into forecasts.
Review and analyze demand trends, identifying potential risks, opportunities, and discrepancies in forecasts.
Lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, providing recommendations to leadership on supply/demand alignment and mitigation strategies.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to forecast accuracy and customer service levels.
Support new product launches and product discontinuations with accurate demand planning and coordination.
Contributes and leads process improvement projects and serve as a key contributor in cross functional initiatives
Questions and influences forecasting inputs from cross functional partners with manager assistance
What You Will Bring
Post-Secondary degree in Business or a related discipline.
3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, preferable in the consumer goods or manufacturing sector.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties to meet objectives and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
A team-player with the ability to collaborate with multiple aspects of the business
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Initiative to solve challenges using analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-driven and proactive, seeking out how to improve processes and key metrics

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 + 20% annual bonus
