Primary Responsibilities

About the Job

The primary responsibility is to provide accuracy between listed products and physical quantities in the Mississauga Warehouse. Investigate and report all irregularities and make the correct adjustments when required. Actively contribute to a positive and productive working environment

Essential Functions

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and participate in food safety programs including SQF (Safe Quality Food) 
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts to maintain accuracy between EMW or ERP software and the physical quantities in the Mississauga warehouse. 
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including missing, damaged, or mis-located items.
  • Investigate/Report large adjustments and variances as required 
  • Update and maintain accurate inventory records in the EWM (SAP) or ERP software.
  • Assist in managing stock rotations, lot tracking, and FIFO/FEFO procedures (if applicable).
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage conditions, and organization of warehouse inventory.
  • Complete audits on both case and repack pallets/assignments
  • Process return list
  • Maintain reporting of completed audits
  • Adhere to and implement all applicable company safety standards
  • Review and update master SKU Table List
  • Support annual physical inventory counts and audits.
  • Auditing of outbound orders 
  • Investigate missed letdowns 
  • Other duties as requested by warehouse supervisor 
  • Comply with all warehouse safety policies and participate in maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
  • Other duties and special project as required by warehouse supervisor 

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced warehouse setting with exposure to multiple temperature zones, including:
    • Ambient (dry storage): 55°F–75°F (13°C–24°C)
    • Refrigerated/cooler: 32°F–45°F (0°C–7°C)
    • Frozen: -10°F–0°F (-23°C–-18°C)
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
  • May require working in cold or freezer environments for extended periods.
  • Use of warehouse equipment such as scissor lift, pallet jacks, forklifts, or reach trucks.
  • Role may involve early mornings, late evenings, weekends, or overtime depending on operational needs.
  • Requires adherence to PPE guidelines, including cold-weather gear in low-temperature zones.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

  • High School diploma and a minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in a distribution center
  • Preferred experience in a similar role or clerical/inventory capacity.
  • Previous experience operating powered industrial equipment (i.e., forklift narrow reach truck,pallet jacks, stock pickers, etc.) preferred.
  • Ability to communicate well with internal customers and management.
  • Ability to follow safe working practices, as instructed.
  • Ability to efficiently work independent of direct supervision.
  • The associate is frequently required to stand, and walk while performing the duties and is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm.
  • Experience working with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and databases).
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Working in a multi-temperature environment
  • Requires operation of MHE equipment

The base compensation range for this role is $20.15CAD - $25.96CAD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
