Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire an Inventory Associate for our brand-new, fully automated 660,000 square foot distribution centre in Johnstown, ON! GTW can offer paid material handling equipment training on brand-new Raymond equipment, a store discount and 24/7 onsite gym access.
This role is a 1-year contract anticipated to end in January 2027.

Starting wage of $19.43/hour!
Additional $2/hour for hours worked 9:00pm - 6:00am;
Automatic milestone wage increases at 1040 hours, 2080 hours, 4160 hours and annually after that;

Inventory Associate Highlights:
Cycle Counting: Conduct routine cycle counts to ensure ongoing accuracy of inventory records. (3 cycle counts per fiscal year)
Problem Resolution:
Investigate and resolve Symbotic eject/reject discrepancies or issues related to inventory, working to implement preventive measures.
Help ensure that the Symbotic suspect cases are resolved and product available to stores.
Conduct searches to locate lost products within the system and facility.
Reporting: Report on inventory levels, trends, and variances, providing insights to management for decision-making when the discrepancies are above tolerance level.
Technology Utilization: Utilize inventory management software and tools to streamline processes and maintain up-to-date records ensuring accuracy and timelines.
Machine Operation: Operate an electric pallet truck capable of pulling 2 skids at a time.
Inventory Associate Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate recording and tracking of inventory.
Communication: Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.
Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address inventory-related issues.
Time Management: Efficient time management to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changes in workflow and prioritize tasks based on business needs.
Physical Stamina: Able to lift 50 pounds consistently through shift
Comply with GTW’s policies and procedures as well as OSHA and MSDS Standards
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
Perform related work as required by Supervisor
Inventory Associate Assets:
2 years’ + experience in a variety of warehouse functions.
Experience in analyzing data from AS/400 and Manhattan applications.
Schedule:
Tuesday-Saturday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
