We’re hiring an Inventory and Field Operations Analyst to support our Field Operations Team with advanced data analytics, financial performance tracking, and custom reporting. This role plays a key part in enabling data-driven decisions and advancing our analytics strategy. Success in this position requires interpreting complex data to identify actionable insights, translating technical findings into clear narratives, engaging stakeholders to uncover business needs, confidently presenting and defending recommendations, and seeking opportunities to improve processes in a dynamic environment. 

 
Major Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure the quality, integrity, and optimization of data across reporting packages and dashboards by collaborating with managers, monitoring processes, and developing corrections and automations. Retrieve, organize, and manipulate data from multiple databases for high performance. 

  • Lead the identification and implementation of improvements in data analytics and reporting solutions, including the design, development, testing, and refinement of queries, dashboards, charts, graphs, ad hoc reports, and data visualizations. 

  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled Audits of the Management Operating System as directed, which can include review of KPIs, capacity planning, standard work procedures, performance monitoring, continuous improvement, base business opportunities, business cases, decision records, and defining responsibilities and ownership 

  • Drive operational efficiency and strategic growth by reviewing Base Business Opportunity improvements, creating and analyzing Field Services operational reports for dashboards, performing financial and operational analysis across resource flows and performance metrics, and providing input into decision quality frameworks. 

  • Provide input into the development of decision quality frameworks  

  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable stories tailored to stakeholder needs, engage stakeholders to uncover business challenges, and confidently present and defend data-driven recommendations to senior leaders. cross-functional teams, fostering alignment and driving change 

 

Education Required: 

  • A degree in business, engineering, data science, economics, statistics, or a related quantitative field.   
     

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • 8+ years of progression in a reporting and analytics in a Utilities, Field Services related role 

  • Demonstrated experience working on work process analysis initiatives preferably in an electrical utility or regulated environment. 

  • Advanced proficiency in in data analytics, Power BI (including DAX), Denodo, Adaptive Insights, Excel, SQL, Azure/SQL Data Warehouse, SQL Server, Azure Machine Learning, Microsoft Fabric, and SharePoint 

  • Experience leading financial forecasting, tracking, and performance analysis 

  • Proven Ability to train and coach others on best practices, processes, and technology use 

  • Advanced capability with of Management Operating System (MOS) best practices and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Cost of Service, PBR, Rule 005) 

  • Proven track record in business process improvement, change management, and stakeholder facilitation

Salary: Analyst Level D (Current CUPE 2025 rates) 

$115,556.35 - $122,777.38 - $129,998.41 - $137,219.45 - $144,440.48 

 

Location:This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at Field Services Depot – 2020 Centre Avenue Street NE Calgary, AB and occasionally South Service Centre 8820 52nd Street SE, Calgary AB. You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
