About the Role:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Indirect Buyer to manage the procurement of MRO supplies, equipment services, spare parts, and other indirect materials essential for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is someone who understands the technical nature of the items being purchased, knows how to find reliable suppliers, and is skilled at securing the right quality, price, and delivery terms to keep our plant running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute end-to-end procurement activities for MRO, spare parts, facility services, mold maintenance, packaging, and other non-production material and services.
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers; obtain and analyze quotes; negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve best value.
Ensure timely placement and follow-up of purchase orders to meet operational requirements and minimize downtime.
Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to clarify specifications and requirements.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier interactions within the ERP system.
Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or invoicing in a timely manner.
Support inventory management of critical spare parts and commonly used supplies.
Backup for material direct buyer(material planner), place orders to material suppliers in 2026 before material planners on board.

Perform other duties as assigned by management that are related to the responsibilities and scope of this position.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or other technical Field, or related discipline preferred.
2+ years of indirect purchasing or buying experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or automotive environment.
Demonstrated knowledge in sourcing categories such as MRO, spare parts, equipment repair, or packaging materials.
Practical experience in supplier identification, price negotiation, and order management.
Ability to read basic technical specifications and communicate effectively with technical staff and suppliers.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with an ERP system (e.g., SAP) is preferred including MRP/MPS.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
Direct experience in a maintenance, technical, or automotive manufacturing setting.
Familiarity with supplier markets and sourcing tools for industrial products.
