DescriptionThe Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst supports the maintenance of the human resource management system (HRMS), Oracle HCM Cloud, in addition to other systems supported by HR, specifically partnering with our HR Department to serve as a technical point-of-contact for the assigned functional area. The Analyst acts as a liaison between users and vendor technical support personnel to ensure data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing, analyzing data flows for efficiency improvement, problem resolution and leveraging the return on technological capabilities. The Analyst assists in building project plans and adherence to project schedules, maintains a systems-orientation and works effectively with peers to meet technology priorities and support long-term planning. The HRIS Analyst also supports HRMS upgrades, patches, updates, testing and other projects as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Analyzes data to identify or determine specifications and resolve operational problems
- Serves as a system administrator for HR systems and applications
- Analyzes information processing or computation needs and plans and designs computer systems, using techniques such as structured analysis, data modeling and information engineering; Assesses the usefulness of pre-developed application packages and adapts them to a user environment
- Translates business objectives and user needs into clearly written technical requirements
- Defines the goals of the system and devises flow charts and diagrams describing logical operational steps of programs
- Reads manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to learn how to develop programs that meet staff and user requirements
- Reviews and analyzes computer printouts and performance indicators to locate code problems, and assist in correcting errors by correcting codes or supporting coding resource
- Generates reports/queries, including writing, maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools; Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs; Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data
- Provides technical support for software maintenance or use; Evaluates programs to improve performance
- Evaluates HR systems to identify points of improvement; Expands or modifies system to serve new purposes or improve workflow
- Partners with internal stakeholders to develop technology solutions that help to streamline and automate (new) HR processes
- Implements process improvements and policy changes designed to improve efficiency and the user experience with the system
- Coordinates and links the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared
- Serves as the go-to subject matter expert for the systems used in the organization (e.g.,Oracle Fusion Cloud, HealthStream )
- Provides staff and users with assistance solving computer-related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems
- Provides production support, including researching and resolving HRMS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements
- Monitors computer system performance to ensures proper operation; Coordinates software or hardware installation
- Maintains security, end-user access, and data integrity across all HR platforms
- Supports and performs critical system maintenance and operational tasks within the HRIS; including but not limited to assisting in the review, testing and implementation of HRMS system upgrades or patches; Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade, updates or fix;
- Maintains HRMS system tables
- Tests, maintains, and monitors computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems
- Determines computer software or hardware needed to set up or alter system; Serves as project leaders for particular systems projects
- Works with HR, Finance and IT to maintain and improve the HRIS, including configuration, end-user access, security, and system efficiency
- Consults with management to ensure agreement on system principles
- Responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of design, test, process and procedure documents; Facilitates training as needed for clients and system users
- Develops, documents and revises system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards
- Documents processes, statements of work (SOW) and results
- Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation; Trains clients on new processes/functionality; Trains new system users
- Applies information technology to solve business or other applied problems
- Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies; Examines trends in information systems training, materials and techniques; Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increases both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge
- Participates in user group meetings/conferences
QualificationsEducation:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Systems Analysis or Human Resource Management, or equivalent work experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
Experience:
- 4 years of HRIS/HRMS related experience
