The Hotel Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of two property hotels including the Front Desk, Reservations, Laundry, and Housekeeping Departments.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for generating room forecasts and daily revenue reports, including yield management.
- Responsible for responding to guest comment cards, letters, and phone calls, addressing complaints and resolving concerns.
- Responsible for the staffing and supervision of Hotel Operations (i.e., Front Desk, Night Auditor, Reservations, Laundry, and Housekeeping).
- Formulates and implements Hotel Operations policies and procedures and ensures enforcement of company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for planning budgets and control of payroll costs.
- Establishes standards for personnel administration and performance, service to patrons, room rates, credit, and service.
- Must be able to adapt to changing business demands.
- Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods of time (7+ hours).
- Knowledgeable of the Indiana Gaming regulations as well as company's internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Always follow the Company Service Standards model.
- Must be available for regularly scheduled work and be able to work a variety of hours, holidays, and weekends.
- Other duties may be assigned at any time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; 5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years hotel operations experience
- Strong Leadership capability
- Proficient In Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
- Experience working with Oracle Opera, Oracle Purchasing strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation up to $60,000, depending upon qualifications and experience.
