Founded in 2025, Odin Dynamics is a defense technology company building autonomous underwater vehicles that will define the next era of undersea warfare. We are focused on delivering capable, resilient autonomous systems that strengthen the strategic advantage of the United States and its allied navies. We move fast, build real hardware, and operate with the urgency that the mission demands.
We're looking for a Head of Supply Chain to build and own the function that turns our designs into delivered hardware. This is a build-it-from-the-ground-up role: you'll start hands-on, standing up our sourcing, procurement, and materials processes today, and grow into the leader of a team as we scale toward production. You'll be the person who makes sure the right parts, from the right suppliers, arrive at the right time, at the right cost, and in full compliance with the regulations that govern defense manufacturing.
If you want to architect a supply chain for a company that's scaling from prototype to production, this is a rare opportunity to do it your way.
Build and own the end-to-end supply chain function — strategy, processes, systems, and ultimately the team.
Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans, identifying, qualifying, and managing suppliers for critical components and materials.
Own procurement and purchasing operations, from requisition through receipt, building the workflows and tools that keep engineering unblocked.
Establish materials planning and inventory management practices that balance availability against capital efficiency.
Stand up logistics and fulfillment operations, including inbound, outbound, and the handling considerations unique to our hardware.
Lead supply chain readiness for production ramp, partnering with engineering and operations to transition from prototype builds to repeatable manufacturing at volume.
Own supply chain compliance, including ITAR, DFARS, country-of-origin requirements, and supplier flow-downs, ensuring our sourcing meets the standards required for defense work.
Build supplier relationships and negotiate terms that secure capacity, quality, and cost as we grow.
Develop the risk management practices that protect against single points of failure, long lead times, and supply disruptions.
Hire, mentor, and lead a supply chain team as the company scales.
B.S. in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years of supply chain experience, with time spent in hardware manufacturing, aerospace, defense, automotive, or a comparable physical-product environment.
Demonstrated experience building or significantly scaling a supply chain function, ideally through a prototype-to-production transition.
Strong strategic sourcing and supplier management track record — you know how to find, qualify, and develop suppliers for demanding technical requirements.
Hands-on procurement and purchasing operations experience — you're comfortable doing the work, not just directing it.
Working knowledge of defense supply chain compliance, including ITAR, DFARS, and country-of-origin/supply chain provenance requirements.
Experience with materials planning, inventory management, and the systems that support them (ERP/MRP).
Strong negotiation skills and commercial judgment.
A bias toward action and comfort operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving, early-stage environment.
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.
Experience scaling supply chain in a hardware startup or high-growth manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with the supplier base for precision-machined components, electronics, batteries, or electromechanical assemblies.
Background supporting government contracts and the associated procurement and compliance requirements.
Experience standing up or administering ERP/MRP systems from scratch.
Knowledge of supply chain security and provenance practices relevant to defense hardware.
Active security clearance (Secret or above).
We're an early-stage company, so we'll be straight with you — we're not going to outbid Big Tech on perks. What we offer is competitive salary, meaningful equity in a company at the ground floor, and the chance to do work that actually matters.
Here's what we provide: health, dental, and vision insurance with the majority of premiums covered, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and support for professional development. The benefits will keep growing as we do.
What won't show up on a benefits slide is what you really get here — small team, high ownership, hard problems, and a front-row seat to building something from scratch for the most consequential mission in defense.
You'll be solving some of the hardest engineering problems of our time — building autonomous systems that operate in the most demanding environments on the planet. Your work will directly shape the future of undersea warfare for the U.S. Navy and our allied partners. This is real autonomy, real hardware, and real national impact. If you want your work to matter, this is the place.
