Description

The Global Conferences Operations Intern plays a key role in supporting the work of the Global Conferences team, which serves approximately 450,000 youth and young single adults worldwide each year.

This internship is part of the Priesthood and Family Department and is a fulltime, one- year position beginning April 2026. It requires onsite work at the Church Office Building in Salt Lake City, Utah. Limited hybrid work options may be available depending on arrangements made with hiring staff at the time of hire. Interns may also have opportunities to observe site work at the Church Office Building in Salt Lake City, Utah. Interns may also have opportunities to observe- local conferences held in the Salt Lake City and Provo, Utah areas.



Responsibilities

The Global Conferences Operations Intern is an integral part of the conferences team within the Priesthood and Family Department. The primary objective of this internship is to enhance operational processes and develop scalable solutions for the implementation of conferences globally. The role is dedicated to supporting global leaders by providing access to essential resources for executing large-scale events. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate in the strategic planning and coordination of operational logistics for multi-day, large-scale conferences and events, with a focus on accessibility.
  • Draft and edit proposals for potential initiatives to be incorporated into conferences, ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal and risk management documentation for conferences, maintaining compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and management of human resource vendor partnerships to support conference operations.
  • Monitor action items and follow up with both internal teams and external partners to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and project support to the conferences team, facilitating efficient workflow and communication.
  • Engage in planning meetings, offering insights and recommendations for operational improvements and process enhancements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure the successful execution of conferences and related events.

Qualifications

Interns must be enrolled as a full-time student or have graduated within one year of beginning their internship. Interns must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter. Other required qualifications include:

  • Strong understanding of Church doctrine, history, organization, and policy
  • The ability to manage many projects simultaneously
  • The ability to give careful attention to detail, sustain concentration for long periods of time, and maintain the highest level of accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to represent the department professionally

 

Preferred:

  • Coursework or experience with project management, event management, hospitality, communications, business, organizational behavior, and/or human resource
  • Proficiency in an additional language
