About the Role
As a General Manager at Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, you will report to the President of the Wheatland Tube Division and oversee multiple manufacturing operations to drive growth and productivity through safe and efficient manufacturing while improving yields and output. You will build a culture of accountability, optimize production processes, ensure quality standards, and lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is onsite and located in Wheatland, PA.

What You’ll Do

  • Build a culture of urgency, accountability, and continuous improvement to achieve goals for safety, quality, customer service, productivity, and cost.

  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with established safety regulations, legal requirements, quality standards, and company procedures.

  • Identify and adapt technological advances to meet the division’s objectives within the marketplace.

  • Provide strong leadership across plant teams to ensure high morale, teamwork, and positive employee and union relations at all levels, including the shop floor.

  • Oversee operations across all plants and meet financial targets.

  • Ensure compliance with group systems, guidelines, and policies.

  • Coach, mentor, and develop the team to support long-term succession planning.

  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial planning related to manufacturing operations.

  • Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (preferred).

  • 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience required, including proven success developing strong operating teams and driving continuous improvement in safety, productivity, quality, and customer service.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and create a culture of accountability.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to focus time on the most important and urgent issues.

  • Ability to identify key issues and think creatively and strategically when faced with internal and external challenges.

  • Goal-oriented, entrepreneurial self-starter who can make strategic decisions with a sense of velocity and urgency.

  • Effective leadership with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate a multi-disciplinary staff.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including public speaking, strong listening skills, and ability to interact with internal team members, external customers, and vendors.

  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex business problems and identify priorities.

  • High ethical standards.

  • Ability to travel in the U.S. and Canada.

Compensation & Benefits

Below is the expected base salary range for this position. This is a good-faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.

Base Salary Range:
[$190,000—$361,000 USD]

Additional compensation may include:
✔ Yearly merit-increase
✔ Profit-sharing bonus opportunities
