Job Summary:

  • As General Manager, Business Unit Operations, you will be responsible for the leadership, overall operations, management, and success of Evolve Life Centers’  business units, facilities department and transportation services. 
  • Additionally, the General Manager is  responsible for ensuring an atmosphere of effective, high quality customer service, and promoting a dignified and professional treatment environment for clients and staff. 
  • The General Manager shall provide oversight to the organization's programs, the professional training and  development of its staff, financial performance, and stewardship of physical assets.  
  • The General Manager should demonstrate strong financial acumen for preparing and managing the budget and optimizing resource allocations among Evolve Life Centers’ operations.

 

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Leadership responsibilities include:

  • The leadership and administration of our Residential and Outpatient business units as well as support organizations.
  • Establishing and executing a strategic plan to promote program growth and respond to changes in marketplace.
  • Overseeing business development efforts to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Directly supervising management staff encouraging critical thinking, strong employee relations, and effective teamwork.

Professional staff development and training duties include:

  • Positively promoting of organizational culture to all staff, clients, and the community.
  • Assisting in the development of written job descriptions for all staff, reviewing of credentials, participating in hiring of staff, and delineation and assignment of staff duties.
  • Leading and participating in staff orientation and staff education activities, when applicable
  • Ensuring all management personnel are thoroughly knowledgeable in all policies and procedures, licensing, contracts, and accreditation standards.

Financial  and operational responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the fiscal management of the business units, including management of revenue, expenses, and adhering to budgeted guidelines.
  • Ensuring policies and procedures are current with all regulatory requirements. Maintain exemplary performance with respect to contract specifications, and licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Strictly adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality policies when responding to inquiries for client information or copies of information. 
  • Leading and participating in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrating the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities and complete duties in the allotted time.
  • Maintaining adequate knowledge of the programs’ emergency preparedness plan and emergency procedures; and assist with crisis management and other emergencies as needed.
  • Maintaining a highly interactive relationship with the organization support services, as well as external stakeholders, and carries out related assignments as needed.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

The General Manager shall meet the following qualifications:

  • Education - Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Educational focus preferred in Business, Public Health, or Healthcare Administration.
  • Three years of management and/or supervisory experience in a mental health or substance use treatment environment required.
  • Strong leadership background with demonstrated results managing organizations.
  • Strong experience with for-profit substance abuse treatment facilities including those primarily funded by Medicaid.
  • Experience working with HIPPA, Federal/state licensing requirements and CARF accreditation standards preferred

  • Management: The General Manager must be able to effectively manage the program. This includes overseeing the day-to-day operations of the program, developing and implementing effective policies and procedures, and managing finances.
  • Communication: The General Manager must be an effective communicator. This includes communicating with staff, clients, and other stakeholders. The General Manager must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, and they must be able to listen effectively.
  • Decision-making: The General Manager must be able to make effective decisions. This includes making decisions about the program's goals, strategies, and policies. The General Manager must be able to weigh the pros and cons of different options and make the best decision for the program.
  • Problem-solving: The General Manager must be able to solve problems. This includes identifying and solving problems that arise in the program. The General Manager must be able to think creatively and come up with solutions that are in the best interests of the program.
  • Teamwork: The General Manager must be able to work effectively as part of a team. This includes working with staff, clients, and other stakeholders. The General Manager must be able to build relationships and work collaboratively to achieve the program's goals.
  • Professionalism: The General Manager must always maintain a professional demeanor. This includes dressing and behaving in a way that is appropriate for a professional setting. The General Manager must also uphold the ethical standards of the profession.
  • Financial management skills: The ability to manage finances effectively, including budgeting, accounting, and auditing.
  • Human resources management skills: The ability to recruit, hire, and train staff, as well as manage employee relations.
  • Program development and evaluation skills: The ability to develop and evaluate programs, including identifying program goals, developing program plans, and evaluating program outcomes.
  • Strategic planning skills: The ability to develop and implement strategic plans, including identifying program goals, developing program plans, and evaluating program outcome. 
Salary Description
$95,000 per year.
