General Laborer- Machine Shop

Located in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, our markets reach throughout North America and into export markets.

Continued growth and expansion have resulted in the need for a full-time General Laborer. The standard working schedule would be 7:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday thru Friday.

Position in the Organization and Reporting Relationship

This position will report directly to the Machine Shop Division Manager.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of the Machine Shop
• Operation of horizontal and vertical bandsaws
• Identification of raw materials
• Operating a forklift to transport various materials

Job Requirements

• Forklift License is considered an asset
• Ability to use power tools
• Ability to identify various types of steel/metals
• Valid Driver’s License
