General Labourer

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our team. This role primarily involves shovelling and wheelbarrowing topsoil, sand and gravel on and around municipal infrastructure that limits use of equipment. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, safety-conscious, and eager to get alot of exercise!

Duties

• Assist with loading and unloading materials manually
• Perform basic construction or maintenance tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving materials by wheelbarrow
• Maintain a clean and organized work site to ensure safety and efficiency
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear at all times
• Support team members with various tasks as needed to meet project deadlines
• Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to supervisors promptly

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
• Prior experience in manual labour or construction is a plus but not required; training will be provided
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn new skills
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Basic understanding of safety procedures related to manual labour roles

Pay: $20.00-$27.50 per hour
