AgWest Ltd. is seeking an experienced and results-driven Fixed
Operations Manager to lead and oversee both our Service and Parts
departments. This role is responsible for driving operational efficiency,
profitability, and customer satisfaction across all fixed operations. The
successful candidate will provide strong leadership, optimize processes, and
ensure seamless collaboration between departments to support overall business
success.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead,
coach, and develop Service and Parts teams to achieve performance and
customer service goals
- Manage
staffing, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
- Foster
a positive, collaborative, and safety-focused work environment
Operations & Performance
- Oversee
daily operations of shop, field service, and parts departments
- Monitor
workflow, work-in-progress, and inventory levels to maximize efficiency
- Develop
and implement processes to improve productivity and service delivery
- Ensure
compliance with company policies, safety standards, and best practices
Customer Service Excellence
- Act as
a key contact for escalated customer concerns and ensure timely resolution
- Promote
a high standard of customer service across all departments
- Collaborate
with Sales and other departments to deliver a seamless customer experience
Financial & Inventory Management
- Oversee
budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of Service and Parts
operations
- Monitor
KPIs, including sales, margins, productivity, and inventory turns
- Ensure
accurate quoting, invoicing, and warranty processing
- Optimize
inventory levels, manage stock orders, and maintain inventory accuracy
Sales & Growth
- Drive
parts and service sales through effective strategies, upselling, and
cross-functional collaboration
- Identify
opportunities to improve profitability and operational performance
- Analyze
reports and metrics to support data-driven decision-making
Continuous Improvement & Safety
- Promote
and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards
- Lead
continuous improvement initiatives across fixed operations
- Investigate
and resolve operational issues, implementing corrective actions
Qualifications & Experience
- High
school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education is an asset)
- 5–10
years of experience in the agriculture, heavy equipment, or related
industry
- Proven
leadership experience managing service and/or parts operations
- Strong
mechanical and operational knowledge across relevant equipment sectors
