Description

This is a merit hire position. The starting pay rate for this position is $30.73. Dauphin County Children & Youth Services is currently accepting applications for a full-time position of Fiscal Officer 3. The person in this position administers the fiscal operations of the agency and related funded programs; supervises administrative and technical staff, and assures compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. The Fiscal Officer 3 plans and carries out assignments with independence, in accordance with established policies and guidelines under the direction of the Administrator. 

Minimum Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:

 

  • One year as a County Fiscal Officer 2.

 

  • Or three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor’s degree that includes six college credits in accounting.

 

  • Or five years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related associate’s degree that includes six college credits in accounting.

 

  • Or an equivalent combination of experience and training which includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.

 

 

Other Requirements:

At the time of hire, a valid driver’s license and positive driving record, a favorable criminal background check, child abuse and FBI clearances, as well as favorable references, are required. The applicant must provide proof of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license within 60 days from the date of hire. An alternative form of identification will be accepted if you are not eligible to receive a Pennsylvania driver’s license under 67 PA. Code § 83 and driving is not an essential function of the position.
