Your Opportunity

We’re excited to welcome a Field Operations Coordinator to our Environmental Services team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This is a hands‑on opportunity to play a key role in meaningful environmental work while collaborating with a knowledgeable, multi‑disciplinary team.

In this role, you’ll support day‑to‑day field operations and contribute to safety programs, equipment coordination, and the smooth delivery of technical environmental services. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals, gaining exposure to diverse projects and building practical, in‑demand skills in the environmental services field.

This is a full‑time seasonal position, ideal for candidates who enjoy dynamic field environments and collaborative teamwork. 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the procurement, maintenance, calibration, and storage of environmental, aquatics, and fleet equipment, including boats and vehicles.
  • Work with the field coordination team and project managers to support field program preparation and arrange field logistics (e.g., accommodations and vehicle rentals).
  • Support project managers and field personnel with pre and post field program safety documentation.
  • Track, monitor, and coordinate specialized field training for field personnel.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and timely storage of electronic and hard‑copy files and data in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Provide Field Operations support to remote Environmental Services offices throughout Atlantic Canada.
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture and actively participate in Environmental Services’ Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) Program.

  • Ability to exercise sound professional judgment, problem‑solve creatively, and make timely decisions to support effective field programs.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively to achieve shared team objectives.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, initiative, discretion, and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and communicate effectively with IT and/or customer service representatives.

Education and Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Technology, Applied Sciences, Engineering Technology, Occupational Health and Safety, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience supporting field operations, coordination, logistics, or technical services in an environmental, engineering, construction, or industrial setting.
  • Experience working in or supporting field‑based programs, including coordination of equipment, personnel, and schedules.
  • Familiarity with health and safety documentation, field safety protocols, and training requirements; experience working within a formal HSSE or OHS program is an asset.
  • Experience maintaining organized records, inventories, and electronic document management systems. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with field data management systems or asset tracking software considered an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license.

This is an office‑based position requiring regular on‑site work to support computer‑based tasks and the coordination and handling of operational resources.
