What you will be doing:
The Factory Buyer will oversee all purchasing activities and requirements for the Purchasing Department, including ERP supply planning, managing planned purchase orders in MRP, issuing purchase orders for raw materials and supplies, conducting regular stock counts, maintaining and analysing inventory levels, as well as reviewing and monitoring stock deliveries, returns, and vendor invoices.
They will also be responsible for:
Process purchasing documentation in the ERP system, expedite back orders, ensure full circle ordering process while maintaining a clean and organized ERP system.
Inventory management of all assigned direct materials, update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
Monitor status of orders, transport and inventory levels
Focal point of contact for price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues.
Promptly resolve accounts payable issues; identifying root causes and supporting effective corrective actions.
Ensuring MRP planning parameters are accurately maintained
Support Supplier performance measurements while maintaining and developing supplier relationships at all levels
Ensure operational implementation of contracts
Investigating and resolving supply issues using tactical and strategic approaches, expediting to meet urgent needs and implementing contingencies to mitigate future risks
Handling minor claims for the regional area in agreement with the Category Manager
Maintaining and developing supplier relationships at all levels and ensuring continuous communication with stakeholders
Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel as necessary.
What you bring:
5-8 years’ Industrial purchasing experience.
Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Advanced Excel skills
Knowledge of and hands on experience with SAP or any ERP system for material purchases and reporting
Good communication skills
Good problem-solving skills
Strong planning and organizing skills
Strong knowledge of purchasing principles

The annual salary range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000. Your base salary is determined based on location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions.
