Description

Clean Harbors is looking for a Logistics Operations Manager for our Baltimore, MD facility.  This position will require a strong background in warehouse operations, with experience in truck-to-truck, cross-docking, or other high-volume, fast-paced distribution environments preferred. This individual will be a hands-on, results-oriented leader who can effectively manage multiple departments while ensuring operations remain efficient, accurate, and on schedule.

Shift: 1st shift

Pay: $75 - $85K

  • May be responsible for profit & loss management for assigned location.  
  • This role requires proven leadership ability, including the capacity to motivate, guide, and develop teams across various functional areas. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, setting priorities, and consistently meeting productivity, quality, and service expectations. Strong organizational and decision-making skills are essential to adapt to changing business needs and operational challenges.
  • A strong commitment to safety and compliance is critical. The candidate will be responsible for enforcing company policies, adhering to OSHA and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, and fostering a culture of safety. This includes conducting regular safety observations, proactively addressing hazards, and holding teams accountable for safe work practices.
  • Additionally, the role involves tracking and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, throughput, labor efficiency, on-time performance, quality, and safety metrics. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using data to drive continuous improvement, identify process optimization opportunities, and implement effective solutions to meet operational and business goals.
  • Management of direct labor, outside transportation spending, expense, labor, staffing, materials and supplies
  • Oversight of hub compliance through win web systems. 
  • Ensures that vans are shipped accurately and on time through the hub management system.
  • Work closely with the facility on issues of rejected drums or compliance issues regarding compliance deadlines.
  • Monitors and ensures that all key deadlines are met and proper follow up is implemented to ensure proper drum transfer compliance requirements: ten- day compliance periods.
  • Maximize van load efficiencies for piece counts and weight. 
  • Create full direct loads to end disposal and eliminate multi hub stops.
  • Monitor timely manifest returns in win web and managing the hubs to move material to final destination.
  • Monitor and manage all required training.


Qualifications

What does it take to work at Clean Harbors?

  • High School diploma or equivalent required;
  • Must be 18 years or older;
  • 5-7 yrs of related experience;
  • Fork lift experience preferred (Not Required);
  • Ability to use computer;
  • Ability to lift 50 or more pounds;
