Facilities Operations Specialist – Houston

Facilities Operations Specialist, under general supervision, coordinates and monitors routine, preventative, and planned facility maintenance, including mechanical and electrical operations, HVAC, custodial, and landscaping to ensure each building is a comfortable and safe facility for faculty, staff, students, and guests. The facilities operations specialist will serve as the on-site project liaison, as you would provide meaningful communication, training and development, and education to our end users.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of facilities and/or project management experience in a medical setting.

Starting Salary: $71,250

This position is located in Houston, TX. Remote/Work from alternate location is not available at this time. Candidate must be available for on-call duties as needed.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field such as Facility Management, Construction Management, Architecture, Project Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Four years of related experience in facility management, project management and quality assurance.
Two years of related facilities or project management experience in a medical setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a medical teaching/research facility or hospital.
Familiar knowledge with facility/construction management software including AggieWorks, AiM, e-Builder and Desigo.
Familiar knowledge with TAMU facility/ construction management and design protocols.
