Job Description

As the Export Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating ocean export shipments and ensuring smooth, compliant freight forwarding operations. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and accurate execution.

What you’re responsible for:

  • Working closely with the shipping and inventory teams to escalate issues appropriately and ensure efficient and timely resolution
  • Communicating and coordinating with maritime shipping lines, freight forwarders, truckers, and shipping yards to manage bookings aligned with sales contract terms
  • Handling bookings according to contractual shipping requirements (Incoterm, packaging, weight restrictions, container size etc.)
  • Coordinating the full shipment process, including booking, e-manifesting, bills of lading, and freight invoice management
  • Preparing, reviewing, and approving export shipping documents while ensuring accuracy and performing data entry
  • Obtaining and sharing loading pictures for all shipments and providing documentation to customers upon request
  • Creating B13/AES export declarations and managing high volumes of correspondence with internal teams, customers, and transport providers

Qualifications

To join our team:

  • You have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding or handling FCL/LCL ocean exports.
  • You have knowledge of export regulations, CAED/AES filings and a strong understanding of Incoterms.
  • You have strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • You have excellent organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands.
  • You are able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
  • You are bilingual in French and English, with post-secondary education in business, transportation, or logistics (an asset).
