Purpose:

We are currently recruiting for a Execution Director, Projects - Mining, Minerals and Metals. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The Project Execution Director is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of a major capital project or program, overseeing all phases from FEED through execution, commissioning, and handover. This role provides strategic leadership across engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls, ensuring safe, predictable, and commercially successful project outcomes. The Director leads large, multi-disciplinary teams and interfaces directly with executive stakeholders, joint venture partners, and clients.

Responsibilities:

Phase 1: FEED & Project Definition

  • Provide executive oversight of project development, ensuring technical robustness, constructability, and execution readiness.
  • Lead integrated project teams to define scope, execution strategy, contracting approach, and delivery model.
  • Oversee cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments to support investment decisions.
  • Ensure alignment between engineering design, procurement strategy, and construction planning.

Phase 2: Project Execution & Delivery

  • Lead overall project execution strategy, ensuring delivery against safety, cost, schedule, and quality targets.
  • Provide visible leadership to site and project teams, fostering a high-performance, safety-first culture.
  • Manage interfaces across EPC/EPCM contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain executive-level oversight of project controls including schedule, cost, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Drive proactive risk and issue management across the full project lifecycle.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary executive interface with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Lead governance forums, steering committees, and executive reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across joint venture partners and suppliers.
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior project leaders and functional managers.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Champion Worley’s Zero Harm culture across all project activities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and corporate requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery performance.

What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:

  • Extensive senior leadership experience delivering large-scale (> $1B) capital projects within mining, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects from FEED through full execution and commissioning.
  • Strong technical background in engineering, construction, or project management.
  • Proven experience managing EPC/EPCM contracts and complex stakeholder environments.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • Degree in Engineering or related field; P.Eng. or equivalent preferred.

For applicants based in the province of British Columbia, the salary range is $212,854 to $250,416 CAD.
