JOB SUMMARY 

An Event Operations Attendant at Woodward Camp is an integral part of making camp special. Event Operations Attendants will aim to keep Woodward's renowned facilities operating at a high-level year around. You will be responsible for preparing facilities before events, as well as interacting with guests and working during events. One can expect to perform a variety of tasks, such as deep cleaning and other operational tasks in preparation and closing of camp season.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Zone Coach coverage for designated skateparks assigned during event 

  • Assist with hydration, front gate operations, parking, trash disposal, security, spreading salt and shoveling, and provide an excellent guest experience. 

  • Provide general help to other departments with tasks such as: set up event registration, assist at the lodge's front desk, conduct supply runs, give facility tours, Food and Beverage operational tasks, assist with guest check-ins, and helping with checking out equipment.  

  • Conduct weekly park cleanings and safety checks, deep cleaning foam pits, and making the necessary indoor arrangements for winter use. 

  • Assist with seasonal tasks such as painting, landscaping, pressure washing, tarping and removing the tarp from the BMX Race Track, and the putting up and taking down of awnings 

  • Maintain safe and clear pathways during events 

  • Verify all guests are wearing the proper identification 

  • Ensure guest feels welcomed and engaged throughout their visit 

  • Maintain safe and clean facilities before during and after events.   

  • Assist with creating a safe, fun and creative environment for our camper, guests and staff  

  • Safely operate or use equipment and supplies required for job 

  • Preform various seasonal tasks for the upkeep and of skateparks, buildings and grounds.  

  • Proactively communicate safety needs/concerns ahead of time to allow department leadership to provide resources in a timely manner and keep projects on a planned timeline. 

  • General first aid may be required  

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Comfortability in interacting with kids aged 7-17

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Required Qualifications 

  • Driver's License required 

  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records check  

  • Provide work related references upon request.  

  • Employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-hire background checks, including criminal history clearance through the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH), child abuse clearance through the Department of Public Welfare, Motor Vehicle Record if required by position and federal background screening via FBI fingerprinting 

 

PRE-REQUISITES 

Must have or be able to obtain the following prior to starting work: 

Woodward will supply information to assist you in obtaining these if needed.  

  • Mandated Reporter Training Certificate 

  • Safesport Training Certificate 

 

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50 lbs.   

  • Must be comfortable working in an outdoor and indoor all-season environment.   

  • Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations, and guidelines.   

  • Primary on-site work location: Woodward, PA
