JOB SUMMARY: 

Calvin University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enrollment Systems and Operations Manager to join our admission operations team. This critical role is responsible for managing and optimizing our institutional instance of Slate CRM and other enrollment systems to support and meet both undergraduate, graduate, and continuing studies enrollment goals. This position will serve as the deputy of all matters related to the enrollment CRM, Technolutions Slate, and related technology.  

This position can be considered for hybrid work. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

The Manager will serve as the technical and functional expert for our primary enrollment system. Your main duties will include: 

  • Slate Management & Optimization: Responsible for the management and development of the University's Slate CRM instance, ensuring its effective use across all admission teams. 

  • Data Integrity: Ensure the highest level of data integrity and accuracy within enrollment systems, specifically related to prospective student data and the overall admission funnel. 

  • Reporting & Analytics: Prepare essential queries on admission activities, outcomes, and progress toward enrollment goals. 

  • Support & Training: Serve as the primary liaison to enrollment management systems and users, assisting in the development of end-user processes, serving as the bridge between technical and the functional within Slate, and planning and overseeing end-user training. 

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and current documentation for CRM processes. 

  • Serve as the technical lead for Slate integrations and source formats. 

  • Manages Slate user access and user onboarding & training.  

  • Assist with CRM maintenance, troubleshooting, improvement requests, and management of Slate ticket system. 

  • System Implementation and Improvements: Collaborate on research and implementation of new Slate functionality and feature releases as they become available. Operate in alignment with university data governance. 

  • Tests and authenticates changes to the database, reports, or other technical functions as . 

  • Assists with technical development and compliance for online applications. 

  • Provides additional support for admissions and recruiting processes, events and other recruitment functions. 

 

Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher 

  • 2-3 years of experience in higher education CRM (preferably Technolutions Slate) required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

  • Prior experience in admissions, outside sales or territory management preferred.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong functional understanding of CRM functionality, student recruitment lifecycles, and admission processes. The ability to build queries/reports is preferred.

  • Autonomy: A self-starter with the demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and deadlines effectively with minimal supervision. 

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of training and supporting users of varying technical abilities. 

  • Integrity: Ability to handle and manage confidential information with the highest level of discretion.
