As our online business continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Ecommerce Consultant to lead and expand our eCommerce operations. Position Overview
The Ecommerce Operations Lead is responsible for managing and growing our online Parts, Accessories, and Apparel business. This role oversees all aspects of eCommerce operations, including product management, customer service, shipping logistics, online marketing, sales performance, and reporting.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving online sales growth while ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Ecommerce Operations & Sales
- Manage all eCommerce operations across Shopify and related platforms, including over 40,000 SKUs.
- Maintain accurate product listings, inventory availability, pricing, and merchandising.
- Monitor and optimize website performance, conversion rates, and overall customer experience.
- Meet and exceed departmental sales and profitability targets.
- Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for growth.
Customer Experience
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and order-related requests.
- Manage returns, exchanges, warranty claims, and chargebacks professionally and efficiently.
- Proactively communicate order updates, backorders, and shipping delays.
- Ensure every customer interaction reflects our commitment to exceptional service.
Shipping & Logistics
- Coordinate all outbound shipping activities using carriers such as UPS, Canada Post, Zonos, and Cabrella.
- Ensure efficient order fulfillment, cost-effective shipping, and cross-border compliance.
- Manage special orders and inventory transfers between locations.
- Maintain accurate shipping and transaction records.
Digital Marketing & Website Optimization
- Support and manage Google Ads campaigns and other online marketing initiatives.
- Optimize product content, SEO, and website merchandising to increase traffic and sales.
- Utilize Google Analytics (GA4), Merchant Center, and other reporting tools to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to website functionality and user experience.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports covering:
- Sales performance
- Profitability
- Return rates
- Outstanding special orders
- Operational metrics and forecasts
- Maintain eCommerce policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Ensure all paperwork, invoices, and internal records are accurate and properly filed.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Parts, Inventory, Accounting, Logistics, and Sales teams to improve operational efficiency.
- Support other departments as needed to contribute to overall dealership success.
Qualifications
Required
- Experience managing Shopify-based eCommerce operations.
- Experience with Google Ads and digital marketing.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional attitude with a strong sense of integrity and accountability.
Preferred
- Experience in motorcycle, powersports, automotive, parts, accessories, or apparel industries.
- Familiarity with inventory management and fulfillment processes.
- Mechanical aptitude or technical product knowledge.
